Here are some ideas for toys to stimulate her development
- Mobiles with or without music to develop her eyes, ears and brain.
- Play gyms: Get one that has detachable toys, so you have the option of changing the toys around, or adding new things when she's older. Chose texture or play mats that encourage your child to play on her tummy to strengthen her neck and back.
- A variety of music CDs: lullabies, nursery rhymes, classical or whatever your family enjoys listening to. Remember to sing along or gently rock your baby in time to the music. She will develop her brain and bond with you at the same time.
- Soft toys: Choose ones with the faces in the front such as panda's and teddy bears- you could also choose soft toys that wind up and play tunes.
- An unbreakable mirror: There are many designed especially for a baby - these can be attached or tied to the side of the car seat or near the changing table or even on the crib.
- Soft rattles that can be attached to wrists or ankles.
- Black, white and red: Your baby can see these colors best. So include soft books and toys with strong patterns, contrasts and ones that include simple pictures of faces in these colors.
- The best way to help her grow and learn is just to hold her, spend time with her and love her. Enjoy!
