Activities to do with your 4 month old
Here are a few ideas on how to nurture and encourage learning and development with your 4 month old.
- Make time to have lots of face-to-face talking with you. This goes a long way to developing their language skills.
- Loves to put objects in the mouth to learn about its shape and texture. Offer a variety of safe toys with different shapes and textures.
- Provide lots of opportunities for your baby to interact with different people so she can enjoy being social.
- Really loves moving arms. Provide lots of objects/toys like mobiles to bat at with his arms to encourage muscle development.
- Tell her nursery rhymes and sing songs while diapering, bathing and feeding. If you don't know any songs or nursery rhymes buy some books to use as a guide.
- Loves to have a crib toy to play with. This helps develop fine and gross motor skills.
- Loves to look at faces. Attach a baby toy mirror to the crib or near the changing table. Babies love to see themselves and learn from looking at their facial expressions and body movements.
- Provide a safe and large area on the floor for your baby to practice tummy time and playing on his back.
