Mary Lawson is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Master's Degree in Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, and a graduate from St. Mary's Hospital, Waterbury, Conn, with awards for excellence and honors. Mary’s career as a nurse practitioner found her working alongside our own Dr. Olson Huff for many years in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Through Mary’s career she has worked with practices in Charlotte, Atlanta, Cinti and Asheville N.C. One of Mary’s momentous projects was working with single pregnant teens to establish their parenting skills and administer a pilot program through the University of Cincinnati, to provide follow up health care for the teens’ newborns, and encourage them to complete their education. Mary has worked in General Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital in Cinti, Ohio and also in their outreach clinics in underserved areas. Due to Mary’s passion and commitment to her patients, Mary was nominated for the Florence Nightingale Award by the Teen Center through the University of Cinti.

Mary has recently retired from practice and endeavors to continue to provide her educated advice and resources to as many parents she can assist. By joining Sixty Second Parent as an expert advisor Mary can continue her dedicated support to parents, offering her expertise and guidance accumulated during her lifelong career in pediatric nursing.
